Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hmm... <@,@> not quite! But I do have one I use as either an "Evil grin" or a sort of 'grimmace' depending on the context <,< (a lot of my emotes end up being context sensitive >,> they mean vaguely different things depending on the context)

Oh, but of course! I hope it won't horrify you to learn this, but you are, in fact, the reason I joined deviantART in the first place. I've been a real fan of your Shakesville commentary since you started posting there (I'm mostly a lurker myself, and have been for a couple of years), and was so tickled when I finally saw a homepage link in your comments! Since I couldn't unearth an e-mail addy for you here, I thought that joining up was the next best thing. <^_^> (Have I mentioned how much I like your innovative emoticons as well? Spoons up!) I'm still getting my page together, though, and had to scare up a scan of something to post. And when I finally stopped back in this afternoon to stick a drawing up (I like your work a lot, BTW!), here I found a comment from you! Joy! I'm just sorry to be responding in such a tardy fashion.
